Pacific Personalities Interview: Janice Ashwin

As part of PLN's ongoing initiative of sharing Pacific excellence's, Sabrina Habu has interviewed Senior Trade Officer for Ministry of Foreign Affairs & External Trade in Solomon Islands, Janice Ashwin.

Having studied a Bachelor of Business, specialising in International Trade at Victoria University, Janice immersed herself at University, having taken part in the VU Lead2Change student leadership program and being a Student Transition Mentor.

In 2018, Janice was selected to be part of the Australia Awards Women’s Leadership Initiative Mentoring Program. She aims to give women in her hometown greater choice and control over their financial lives, raising awareness of the value and importance of saving, and how to do it. Sabrina and Janice discuss her studies, her day-to-day working life, her biggest achievement to date and Free Trade Agreements for the Solomon Islands.
