Green Climate Fund Observer Organisation Accreditation

Pacific Legal Network are pleased to have been given accreditation as an observer organisation to the Green Climate Fund.

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) – a critical element of the historic Paris Agreement and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) - is the world’s largest climate fund, mandated to support developing countries raise and realize their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) ambitions towards low-emissions, climate-resilient pathways.

Pacific Legal Network has a long history of working on projects aimed at alleviating risks posed by climate change and other environmental issues. Due to our geographic focus on Pacific Small Island Developing States, our team sees its contributions to the mitigation of climate change as foundational to what we do.

Our observer status to the GCF recognises our ongoing contribution to climate positive work in the Pacific region and most importantly, enables us to have a more informed and direct impact on what we see as the most significant work we undertake.
