Watsons Bay Hotel

The PLN team were counting down the days till our Christmas celebration, and we were not disappointed. We chose the esteemed Watsons Bay Hotel as the venue for this momentous occasion, a choice that was immediately gratifying when we stepped off the water taxi and felt the cool sea breeze. The Watsons Bay Hotel is strategically placed only steps away from the Watsons Bay ferry, making it an ideal location for diners who may have over indulged in the Hotel’s refreshingly smooth grapefruit margaritas. We began the lunch with a PLN staple: a delicate meat plate, complete with artisan bread sticks, olives, pickled vegetables, and three different varieties of deli meats. While the team happily chowed-down on the meat plates, there was no doubt that the main course was the show-stopper. Slow cooked ocean trout with a salsa verde sauce, eight hour slow cooked lamb and BBQ Yamba prawns with lemon, chili and garlic: we thought we had died and gone to heaven. Stuffed with as much food as our stomachs could contain, we still managed to find room for profiteroles for dessert. The PLN Christmas lunch was an opportunity for us as a team to celebrate what a fabulous year 2016 has been, and to look towards 2017 as a year of continued prosperity and growth. We are thankful to have such a strong team, both in Sydney and throughout the Pacific, and we look forward to the next year’s continued successes. Happy holidays!
