IAG update from Rotterdam

Our international network ‘IAG’ (Integrated Advisory Group) met most recently in the fine Dutch city of Rotterdam, hosted by our good friends from Ten Holter Noordam. We were fortunate to enjoy great weather and to be accommodated in perhaps one of the more groovy hotels on our fair planet – the Rem Koolhaas designed nhow Rotterdam. The Assembly was attended by representatives from over 40 cities across the globe, and it is truly an enjoyable thing to mix with so many great people doing so many interesting things in their legal and tax businesses. We even managed to do some business at the Assembly, and there were some key changes to the Committee membership. Daden Hunt from Birketts in the UK was elected unopposed as the new IAG Chairman. We take this opportunity to wish Daden well with his tenure in this role, and know that he is most definitely the man for the job. We also welcome to the Committee Stuart Haynes from Aaron & Partners in the UKand Rupert Neudorfer from Hahn and Partners in Lichenstein. High on the list of priorities for the Committee is the continued expansion of the IAG membership across Asia Pacific. We at PLN have been at the pointy end of the recruitment drive for this initiative and we were again delighted to welcome new members from Asia Pacific to IAG, notably boutique firm Sallux Advisory from Seoul. The Committee is currently considering the likelihood of hosting another Asia Pacific event in Asia Pacific during 2016, hot on the heels of the successes of the recent Assemblies in Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore, so for those readers in Asia Pacific interested in IAG, “stay tuned”.. If you are located in the Asia Pacific region and interested in becoming an IAG member, please feel free to contact John Ridgway at j.ridgway@pln.com.au for more information.
